Cooking 5kg lemongrass rice, using an automatic rice cooker.

Hi, this time I want to share how I cook lemongrass rice. I made this to enjoy with my family. I used 5 kilograms of basmati rice and cooked it using an automatic rice cooker. Let's take a look!

Lemongrass Rice, My Own Recipe

5kg Basmati Rice

Water in equal amount to the rice

Cooking oil

Ghee

2 chicken stock cubes

1 can of evaporated milk

160g salt (adjust to your taste)

7 stalks of lemongrass, bruised (more if possible, up to 12 stalks)

Stir-frying spices (trio spices)

1 large onion and 4 cloves of garlic, sliced

Blended Ingredients

6 stalks of lemongrass

5cm ginger

5 large onions

8 cloves of garlic

For Stir-frying:

Cooking oil

Ghee

Bruised lemongrass

Sliced onion & garlic

STIR-FRYING
☝ Use cooking oil, ghee, bruised lemongrass, sliced onion & garlic, and stir-frying spices. Blend the ingredients (like the list of blended ingredients above) and stir until fragrant.

☝ Add the chicken stock that has been dissolved in water.

☝ Add the evaporated milk.

☝ Add salt to taste.

☝ Once it starts boiling, stir gently so the rice and ingredients can mix well before the rice becomes fully cooked.

☝ Close the pot and wait until it's cooked, and the automatic rice cooker will stop when the lemongrass rice is done

Sorry again, I forgot to take a picture of the final cooked rice. But you can see a picture of the lemongrass rice from my recipe. It’s served with sweet and sour lamb, dipping sauce, and spiced fried chicken. Enjoy your meal!
